Our Penguins

Throughout the year, the sick and injured penguins of the Fleurieu Peninsula are cared for at the Penguin Centre.

On arrival at the centre the Little Penguins will, if neccesary, undergo a vetinary examination and receive any required treatment.  The penguins are then lovingly nurtured by experienced staff until they have recovered sufficiently to be allowed back into the wild.

You can find out more about the penguins currently staying at the Penguin Centre by clicking on their names. If you would like to make a donation and help support the centre’s rehabilitation program you can do so via our Adopt a Penguin scheme.

Is Your Adopted Penguin Missing From Our List?

There are several reasons why a penguin’s name may be removed from the list. Usually it will be because the penguin has fully recovered and been returned to the wild; or has gone to live at a Zoo. Very sadly though, it may be because a penguin has died. If it had been very sickly then, despite our sorrow, we are thankful that he or she is no longer suffering.Penguin Love
